Home Health Care Expectations

At Blessed Hands Home Care, our non‑clinical home health care services are designed to support daily living, promote comfort, and help individuals maintain independence in their own homes. While our caregivers do not provide medical care, they play an essential role in enhancing quality of life through reliable, compassionate, hands‑on assistance.  This page outlines what you can expect from our non‑clinical home health care services—and what falls outside our scope of care.

What Non‑Clinical Home Health Care Means

Non‑clinical home health care focuses on personal support and household assistance, not medical treatment. Our caregivers are carefully trained to help with everyday tasks while respecting each client’s dignity, preferences, and independence. These services are ideal for seniors, individuals recovering from illness or injury, or anyone who needs extra help with daily routines but does not require skilled nursing care.

What You Can Expect From Our Caregivers

Personal Care & Daily Living Support

Our caregivers assist with essential activities of daily living, including:

  • Bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Dressing and mobility assistance
  • Toileting and incontinence support
  • Safe transfers and ambulation assistance

All care is provided respectfully and at a pace that feels comfortable for the client.

Companionship & Emotional Support

Loneliness can impact overall well‑being. Our caregivers provide:

  • Friendly conversation and social interaction
  • Participation in hobbies, activities, and games
  • Accompaniment during walks or light outings
  • Reassuring presence for peace of mind

  • Planning and preparing meals based on preferences or dietary guidelines
  • Light grocery shopping and meal setup
  • Encouragement with eating and hydration
  • Kitchen clean‑up after meals

Light Housekeeping

To maintain a safe and comfortable living environment, caregivers may assist with:

  • Tidying living spaces
  • Laundry and linen changes
  • Washing dishes and wiping surfaces
  • Taking out trash and basic household organization

Transportation & Errands

When needed, caregivers can provide:

  • Transportation to appointments, social engagements, or errands
  • Assistance during outings

What Non‑Clinical Care Does Not Include

To ensure safety and compliance, our caregivers do not provide:

  • Medical or nursing care of any kind
  • Administering medications or injections
  • Wound care, catheter care, or medical procedures
  • Diagnosing conditions or adjusting treatment plans

If medical or skilled nursing care is required, we can help coordinate with licensed healthcare providers or home health agencies.

To ensure the best care experience, we ask clients and families to:

  • Provide accurate health and mobility information
  • Communicate changes in needs, routines, or preferences
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, smoke‑free work environment
